Enterprise Rent-A-Car Berlin offers two airport branches and seven city branches, meaning we are always close by. And if we aren’t, we will also be happy to pick you up at a pre-arranged location (except the airport) — a service that you can take advantage of completely free of charge over the phone once you have booked online. This means you can always get into and out of the city quickly. With our rental cars, you can always get from the airport to, for example, Mitte or the government district, or from Mitte to the surrounding area, e.g. to the relaxing Wannsee, Brandenburg or Potsdam, in the blink of an eye.
At Enterprise, we know that our customers need flexibility when renting cars or vans. To ensure that you have the best experience with us, we offer a range of services that help us to meet the needs of our customers.
Berlin is Germany’s largest city in terms of area and the routes from A to B are long. And with an Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental car, you will feel a little more like a “Berliner”.
Take a trip to Charlottenburg Palace, for example. The largest palace complex in Berlin, dating from 1699 and located outside the city center, is in the Charlottenburg district, which can be easily reached by car. Whether you stroll through its palace garden, visit the mausoleum or pay a visit to the Belvedere teahouse, this district will allow you to exchange the hustle and bustle of the city for a few hours of peace and relaxation in the heart of Berlin.
At least as interesting as the capital itself are its surroundings, the pristine Brandenburg, the Berlin lakes, such as the famous Wannsee, and of course the magnificent castle at Potsdam. With our car rental service, you can experience Berlin and the surrounding area at your own personal pace.
Berlin is a big city, meaning that there is a lot of traffic, but the streets are large and wide and offer plenty of space.
There are parking zones in Berlin.
If you park your vehicle in a parking zone, you must take a parking ticket from the parking ticket machine. The machines accept coins. In many cases, payment by mobile phone is also possible. However, prior registration is required and additional charges may apply, depending on the vendor. Depending on the zone, the charge may amount to 25 or 75 cents per fifteen minutes, one or two euro per hour, or another amount. The ticket you take must be placed in the car so as to be clearly visible from outside the car.
Parking garages in Berlin
Prices similar to those in the parking zones also apply in many parking garages around the city, while some offer low daily flat rates. The parking garages are largely located in busy areas such as near train stations, shopping centers, department stores or major tourist spots and attractions. Many of them are underground garages. Some hotels also offer paid parking.
Applying for a resident parking permit
Persons residing in Berlin, whose house or apartment is located in a parking zone, can obtain a resident parking permit. The permit is applied for from the responsible district office. It allows free parking in the parking zone where the vehicle owner is registered and is valid for a maximum of two years. Guest badges can be requested on a daily or weekly basis.
