Booking a car or van rental in Melbourne is a great way to get around the city and explore the surrounding areas. There are some things you'll need to keep in mind, though. Melbourne has a system of streetcars that run throughout the CBD and inner suburbs, and if you're sharing the road with a streetcar, you need to pass on the left. When one of these vehicles stops, you should stop level with the back of the streetcar and then wait for the passengers to get off.
